"One of the world's most amazing super yachts, that could spell the future for efficient long range cruising" Boat International..

SUPERYACHT ADASTRA
Recently completed in April of 2012, the Adastra Super Yacht is nothing short of a masterpiece. Built for Anto and Elaine Marden, the yacht was designed by Sussex-based boat designer John Shuttleworth.
Measuring in at nearly 140 feet long, the yacht’s shape took into account both hydrodynamics and aerodynamics, ensuring that this thing would be built for speed while not sacrificing fuel consumption. The end result? The boat has a top speed just north of 23 knots, and thanks to the use of carbon fiber throughout, the Astrada doesn’t need to refuel but once every 4,000 nautical miles. Now on to the good stuff. As you would expect, the yacht is equipped with all of the amenities you would encounter in a 5 star hotel including luxury bathrooms, bar, full kitchen, luxury bathrooms, whirlpool, sauna, master cabin, two guest cabins for your buddies, and of course that massive deck offering panoramic views for the whole crew (up to 9 guests and 6 crew members).

The Superstructure is carbon fibre with Nomex honeycomb core, the hull is Glass/Kevlar foam sandwich and the interior is light weight oak cabinetry using honeycomb panels. To help reduce weight, virtually every aspect of the boat is custom built. This includes carbon fibre hatches, portlights, ladders and even hinges, which are all built specifically for the vessel.
