Yacht club de Monaco
As a Cannes are hosting its Yacht festival (until 13th, you still have time), It’s time to broaden the knowledge in this sphere. However, getting a yacht is one thing, but one of the most important is to be a member of a prestigious club. OES magazine shares its insight on 3 most popular and distinctive clubs in the world. And don’t forget – dress code is a must.

Yacht Club de Monaco (YCM).
Briefly: Situated in one of the most luxurious and fancy places in the world, the club is considered a dream for many Europeans. It was established by Rainier the Third in 1953.
No of members: 1200.
Membership: two members of the club are supposed to give your name, which is afterwards is regarded by Prince Albert.
Drink: Vodka (a lot).
Dress code: Very strict. In the morning you should wear dark blue jacket with symbol of the club (no pockets!), light blue shirt with white trousers. Golden or silver buttons are allowed only to officers.

2. New York Yacht Club (NYYC).
Briefly: main members of the club include Vanderbilts and Rockefellers.
Membership: existing member must invite you. The coolest thing is that it’s not necessary to buy the yacht. However, you still required having experience in the sea.
Drink: Jin with martin and ice.
Dress code: jacket and tie are must, even when its hot. And yeah, it’s a great place to take your monograms to.

3. Royal Yacht Squadron (RYS).
Briefly: this is the most prestigious club ever. Not only it featured the names of royals, but also hosts annual events during the Cowes Week.
No of members: 475.
Membership: someone is supposed to recommend you and claim that you are significantly interested in yachting. However, as you can see from the number of members, its not easy at all.
Drink: Moet & Chandon.
Dress code: red trousers.
