It’s time to freshen your wardrobe with new pieces from runways. With variety of styles and colors available, it’s hard to distinguish key trends to follow this fall. However, you don’t need to worry, as we decided to provide you the trend report directly from fashion weeks, as well as suggest mass market places to purchase goods from, such as Asos.
50 shades of Grey
Grey was surely leading the runway, beginning with socks and ending in whole suits. This was seen at Dolce & Gabbana, Boglioli, Prada, Brioni, Canali, CK Collection
Oversized coats
Weather single or double breasted, you better chose the one cut from wool with soft shoulders to gain that shape of oversize. Seen at Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, Jil Sander.
Its all about layering
Master the sense of feeling the color by mixing, matching and layering your knits. As seen on the runways of Missoni, Bally.
Prints
How many of them we’ve already seen? It’s time to replace your stripes and gingham with square patterns and patches. Take inspiration from Salvatore Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani and Paul Smith.
No more need to carry bags around
Big pockets are coming in the game. Finally, no need to carry additional bags to put your smartphone and cardholder. Seen at Iceberg, Fendi, Givenchy, Valentino.
Go Green
Despite grey being a leading shade of the fashion weeks, designers managed to find place for different colors of green: emerald, pine, juniper, seaweed, moss and shamrock. Specially favored on runways of Burberry Prorsum, Bottega Veneta.
One piece suit
No more need to buy separates. Designers are bringing one piece back. Seen at Hermes, Kenzo, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Louis Vuitton.
Three quarter length coat
Leave your usual coat for a next season. Time to master three quarters. For inspiration head to CK Collection and Lanvin.
Brownie
Chocolate rich brown is one of the key shades of the new season. Jumpers, suits, scarfs… Sounds so delicious. Seen at Maison Martin Margiela and Berluti.
Bordeaux
Another rich shade, looking good both on jacquard coats, suits and ties. Spotted on the runways of Valentino, Lanvin and Alexander McQueen.
